Church Picnic

I had such a good time at my church picnic - these are some of my church family.  I swam so much that I didn't need any meal boluses.  Also I mainly ate lean protein.  I am on a insulin pump holiday.  That way I am ready for the water at anytime.  Oh, I actually met another type 1 girl my age named Alesha.  She visited our church during our vacation bible school.  My class was about to go on a field trip to visit a homeless shelter and she came on the bus, because I forgot to take my lantus and while I was checking my blood sugar - she said, "Are you a diabetic?".  I said, yes type 1, and she said, "so am I."  Wow, it is funny how GOD operates.  We exchange information and hopefully we will become good friends.  It was a nice surprise - we are never alone.
